Back In Action

April 6, 2009

I’m back after an enlightening (and tax deductible) weekend in Dallas attending the Stockman Grass Farmer’s Management-intensive Grazing School. I learned a lot, and met quite a few good people. We got to take a look at Burgundy Pasture Beef, who raises cattle on grass and weeds, processes the meat, then sells said meat to the well-to-dos in Dallas and Highland Park, all for a surprising (and inspirational 😉 ) mark up.

But the highlight had to be a Nebraska cowboy and a Aussie damn near comin to blows over the nature of US capitalism. Good times.

I have no doubt watching two ‘farmers’ tear each others clothes off and wrestle on the floor was the highlight of your weekend.

I’d have joined but I forgot my chaps.
